Nietzsche Has

One of the best hurdlers of his generation, winner of Prix Rush, Go Ahead L and Aguado G3 in the spring, Nietzsche Has is about to begin his breeding career in 2025 at Haras de Montaigu.

Trained by Marcel Rolland and owned by Highbourne Stud, NIETZSCHE HAS only raced at 3. After his winning début in Prix Rush mid-March, he carried on with two more consecutive wins, still in the spring, in Prix Go Ahead L and then Prix Aguado G3. In autumn, he managed to finish 3rd in Prix Georges de Talhouët-Roy G2 and a close second in one of the two fastest-paced editions in the last two decades of Prix Cambacérès - Grande Course de Haies des 3 Ans G1.

Bred as his name suggests by Hamel Stud, he created quite a sensation with his conformation and pedigree at the ARQANA 2023 Summer Sale where he was auctioned 240 000€ to Guy Petit, presented by The Channel Consignement. 

A major improver, ZARAK is the offspring of two great champions, namely Dubawi (Dubai Millenium) and Zarkava (Zamindar). Winner, among others, of Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud G1, with a both compact and powerful conformation, he proves a most versatile stallion at the highest level with notable offspring such as Zagrey, Metropolitan, Zarakem, Caramelito, Purplepay, the late Haya Zark, or Crown Princesse on the Flat as well as Bo Zenith, Zarak The Brave – and Nietzsche Has over jumps.

On the damside, Nietzsche Has is the sixth offspring of National Hunt placed Nice To Meet You (Martaline) who also produced another good horse over jumps: Niko Has (Great Pretender), winner of Prix William Head L and Triquerville L at Auteuil. 

Out of Katioucha (Mansonnien), 3rd Prix Finot des Pouliches L, Nice To Meet You is also a sister to Aubusson (Ballingarry) G3 winner over English hurdles, Triana du Berlais (Presenting), winner of Prix Bournosienne G3 and Edmond Barrachin G3 at Auteuil, Toscana du Berlais (Shantou), winner of Prix Ingré G2 as well as young successful stallion Nirvana du Berlais (Martaline) winner among others of Prix Cambacérès G1.

Nietzsche Has is related to Mon Filleul (Tanerko) and Teofilo Otoni (High Top) respective winners of Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris (then L) and Grande Course de Haies des 4 Ans (then L).
